origins

When we were kids, pinky promises were the highest form of commitment imaginable. They were the law that held playground decisions together. As we grew older, pinky promises changed into handshakes, and playgrounds turned into obligations.

Somewhere between these stages though, I stumbled upon advertising; not quite as naive as childhood, but not quite as stuffy as suits and cubicles. The obsession was instant and tangible, and suddenly my childhood passions of telling and writing goofy stories had purpose and direction. That's the sweet spot for me- somewhere between "strictly business" and "no responsibilities."

My aim in life is to create work that let's me run unbridled through that in-between; work that is strategic, but laughs in the face of fear. It's my dedication, and I will do it. Pinky promise.
